We, the Brettermeier family, have been in the hotel business since 1948. It all began with our great grandmother, Theresia, who created the first guesthouse in the mountain village of Hinterglemm following the Second World War. More than 75 years after the opening of the Gasthaus Auhof we are happy and proud today to continue her pioneering spirit by setting up the first organic hotel in the region, The Resi, which takes its name from The-resia herself.
Saalbach-Hinterglemm is our home. It is here that we grew up. On this very plot of land we played, laughed and cried together as children. And now, as adults, there is nowhere else we would rather be. Tradition is important to us, but we also want to move with the times. That is why we decided make The Resi a place where the future is just as important as the past.
We decided to make the most of a tough situation and used the downtime forced upon us by the coronavirus pandemic to get creative. Voilà, The Resi was born! We can't wait to get started and show guests our new vision for a simple and forward-looking approach to tourism in the region.
One core element of this philosophy is flexibility. That means each and every guest can customise their stay and book exactly the services they want and need. Value for money and zero waste!
Sustainable, fair, zero-waste, regional & 100% organic – those are the principles we strive to uphold every day at our hotel.
